We know what your thinking; healthy and sweet don't belong together in the same sentence. However, even the most health conscious of us out there enjoy a sweet every now and then. That's why sugar and butter are not heavily used in our baked goods. This is attributable to my mom's historical focus on eating healthy, while still catering to the sweet tooth in many of us. Further emphasized by her more recent journey through breast cancer.
Apart from reducing the sugar content in our baked goods we've also stayed away from the use of alcohol in our recipes. For example, while some recipes call for rum or Marsala wine (like Tiramisu), we've decided to keep all of our baked goods (and our food products in general) kid friendly and free of alcohol. As we believe a healthy mind and body are the most important for living a long and productive life. Most especially for a younger crowd who are still in the early stages of development.
So, if your ever shopping for baked goods that lean more towards the healthy side of the spectrum and don't incorporate alcohol and too much sugar, you may want to give our baked goods a try.
Check out our baked and non-baked goods through our online store.
As a side note, when you purchase any of our food products, a small proportion of each sale will be donated in support of our social pledge.
Happy holidays and new year to you and yours!
